History
The Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health (SINH) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) was founded in 2016 by merging four institutes and two centers of the former Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, CAS.
Mission
Focusing on human nutrition and health, SINH is dedicated to making new discoveries and developing new products and technologies. It also serves as a think tank for health-related national policy as well as a platform for the education of next-generation researchers.
Who We Are
SINH is a national non-profit institution of basic and applied research affiliated with CAS. The institute focuses on healthy aging, major chronic diseases, nutrition and food safety, and biomedical big data, with an emphasis on application and biotechnology development.
